Rubber automotive bushings have dynamic properties that can be measured in up to 6 axes depending upon the geometry. This presentation will show examples of test equipment used for measuring the dynamic properties in each direction. Examples will be given on how to tool and configure bushings for servo-hydraulic type testing. Test inputs for a bushing such as preload and dynamic deflections will be reviewed. Sample dynamic curves will be presented with effects of preload, dynamic displacement and frequency will be discussed.
