This two-day event is designed to be an intensive and immersive professional development opportunity for industry young professionals interested in growing their leadership skills. The 2023 Leadership Summit will give attendees firm and applicable leadership skills, allow meaningful networking and problem-solving and connect with industry peers for long-lasting growth and development. 

Not only will attendees focus on developing their leadership, but they will also be taken on an in-depth tour of MAPP member Metro Plastics Technologies, where the event will take place, and have a facilitated discussion on applicable best practices to take back to their home facility.

Leadership Content

Attendees will join Matt Lesser, leadership consultant, coach, and author, as he guides young professionals during this two-day workshop. Throughout the two-day event, Lesser will share deep insights into 4 Leadership Constructs: 
1.    Listening
2.    Communication
3.    Conflict Engagement
4.    Delegation

Attendees will take a deep dive into their own leadership styles while learning from their peers. This multi-faceted workshop includes facilitation, discussion, and interactive activities focusing on equipping leaders with tools and skills to catalyze their leadership to the next level, all while networking with industry peers. 

In addition, attendees are encouraged to complete the LivStyle Assessment, a 9-factor assessment (including DISC and MBTI) dedicated to growing in Self- and Others Awareness, tools critical for effective leadership. An optional, 2-hour workshop is being offered after the event on Thursday afternoon covering the results of LivStyle for those that complete it before the event (*should you decide during the event to stay for the LivStyle workshop, there will be an opportunity to complete the assessment prior to Thursday afternoon; completing before the event is preferred).
