Mentorship Program

ARPM Young Professionals Mentorship Program

The goal of ARPM's YP Mentorship Program is to provide young professionals in the rubber industry the opportunity to mentor with an experienced industry professional for direct guidance on their career.

  • One-year commitment between an industry leader and an industry young professional
  • At a minimum, meet at least quarterly for 60 minutes via call, video conference, or in-person meeting
  • Opportunities for in-person meetings at ARPM events

About the Mentorship Program

Participation & Expectations
  • Mentees should prepare thoughtful questions
  • Both parties should be ready to discuss real challenges on your path
  • Listen carefully and report back on progress 
  • Meet at least quarterly for 60-minutes
  • Commit to the process and respect the time and dedication of each individual
   
Reporting and Monitoring
  • Within the first 30 days, both parties should report back if the match is a good fit
  • Each quarter, both parties will be expected to complete a brief survey to provide feedback on the program
  • At the end of the year, both parties will provide MAPP a detailed understanding of the program successes and improvement opportunities
       
Applying and Getting Started
  • To get matched with a mentor, complete the application here

  • Once you get a hand-picked mentor, ARPM will facilitate introductions
  • Meet within 30 days to decide if the match is a good fit for both parties
  • If it is not a fit, ARPM will work to get a new match as quickly as possible
  • Report back to ARPM staff on the fit, challenges, and successes with your mentorship experience
   
Becoming a Mentor
  • Complete the Mentor Application Here
     
  • To become a mentor, you must have at least 10 years of industry experience
     
  • Mentors can be from any department
     
  • Be dedicated to the growth and development of the next generation of leaders
