Hello,
I am investigating the technology of laser mold cleaning and I was wondering if anyone currently uses this to clean their molds and what their experience is. Do you have any recommended brands, power levels of the laser, etc.? Have you noticed any degradation of your tooling using laser cleaning? One focus of the machine is to be able to effectively clean off oily residue and PTFE from the molds. I have tested out plastic mold cleaning media, however we have found that it does not do a very good job cleaning off oily residue from the mold face.

I trialed it a couple of years ago with mixed results.
What I found - On flat surfaces it works great, on "deep" irregular shaped cavities did a poor job of cleaning.
