Employee tests positive for COVID-19

The following is a link from the CDC website. It’s my understanding that if a positive test is found then the work area and perhaps the entire facility needs to be cleaned and sanitized.

I think you should inform other employees with whom this individual had close contact (specifics obviously depend on the facts). But, I would not reveal a name unless he/she gives express release -- and I'm not suggesting this; I don't think you need to say a name.

As for quarantine, right now, the safest course may be, at the very least, ask the other employees (with whom there was close contact) to monitor and/or whether they want to self-quarantine. If it's a smaller group, you might even insist on it.
