This event has passed

Businesses’ requirements to comply with California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (known as Prop 65) change August 30, 2018. The two-year grace period to comply with the amended regulations has come to an end.

Prop 65 requires manufacturers, distributors and retailers to provide “a clear and reasonable warning” to California consumers before exposing them to one of nearly 900 chemicals identified by the state as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The amended regulations dictate how the warning must be given and what language must be used.

Have you taken the necessary steps to comply with the updated law?

Failure to comply with Prop 65 subjects manufacturers, distributor and retailers with 10 or more employees to potential liability, including penalties of up to $2,500 per day, per violation.

The webinar will discuss the amended regulations, the specific updated language that must be used to warn consumers, and best practices to comply with Prop 65. The webinar is designed to be understandable to those new to the law, as well as to provide useful and practical advice to those with significant experience with Prop 65.
